Dragonfly skitters across the surface of the water, symbolic of our ‘top thoughts’.  But she knows she is standing upon the surface of vast watery depths that can be endlessly profound and potentially life-altering. The fulcrum between mundane and mystical, Dragonfly is the balance keeper between ‘little me’ and ‘God Self.’

Since I first discovered the joy of meditation at a Buddhist Retreat Centre in West Cork I have been on my own continuous journey of discovery, healing, and spiritual exploration.  Over twenty years I have studied and qualified with many great teachers in the field of holistic well-being.

I believe that to be truly well, we need to address our Mind, Heart, Body and Spirit. Most of us experience at least one of these precious 'centres' being out of alignment at any one time. Wellness is not about perfection - it is about noticing when something is not right, paying attention to what we need, and focussing on becoming balanced and well. This way, we are able to develop greater personal response-ability, and make better choices when we find ourselves re-acting to other people and our circumstances.

I was born in England to parents who, between them, had a healthy mix of English, Irish and Scottish blood. I was raised with a love of all three countries, and have always had a strong Celtic connection to nature and spirit.

I balance my life as a teacher, writer, medium and mother of three beautiful grown-up children. I have recently moved from West Cork to the beautiful and nurturing area of Lough Derg in North Tipperary.  I am surrounded by hills and the lake is only a couple of miles away across the fields.  I am a great believer in sustainable living and eating a wholesome, organic and free range diet as much as possible.

When I moved to Tipperary I was blessed with being able to buy back my old family holiday cottage.   I have lovingly restored the old cottage and added on an extension looking out over the lake.   I spend my mornings writing and  offer mediumship and\or psychic readings privately in the afternoons and early evenings. details of which you will find on my Mediumship page.

Some interesting quotes and poetry that inspire me ........

“ she had worked so hard
on seeing her heart -
now she realized she had to do more
than just see it -
she had to hold it when no one else would,
she had to believe in it when others doubted it,
she had to love it more than anyone else could -
because only then would she be able to open it
and offer it for Real. ”

An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life...

"A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy.
"It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

"One is evil - he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.

"The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

"This same fight is going on inside you - and inside every other person, too."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather,
"Which wolf will win?"

The old chief simply replied,
"The one you feed." --

One of his students asked Buddha, "Are you the messiah?"
"No", answered Buddha.
"Then are you a healer?"
"No", Buddha replied.
"Then are you a teacher?" the student persisted.
"No, I am not a teacher."
"Then what are you?" asked the student, exasperated.
"I am awake", Buddha replied
"How do you spell love?" asked Piglet
"You don't spell it" answered Pooh, "you feel it".
The Breeze - Fergus McGonigal

First in, then out. He found it needed
no practice; even consciousness
was not required. Arrived a day,
a day of windless heat, when breathing,
he saw, breathing was all he had.
“I am but breath and nothing more.”

Upon his bed he’d lain, and breathed
an exhalation so complete
it was as if the world had paused;
and at its end he felt a peace.
“This is not death, or life’s release;
This is myself revealed to me.”

And through this strange epiphany
he learnt that things became themselves:
that some were storms, and others shade,
thunder, rain or ray of sun;
but he would not be one of these,
for this is what he was: the breeze.

And sometimes I remember this,
when on my skin I feel a kiss
of air, a breath of wind, a soft
and unassuming touch, and hope
that when at last I am myself,
I’ll see that I, too, am the breeze.
