Dragonfly skitters across the surface of the water, symbolic of our ‘top thoughts’. But she knows she is standing upon the surface of vast watery depths that can be endlessly profound and potentially life-altering. The fulcrum between mundane and mystical, Dragonfly is the balance keeper between ‘little me’ and ‘God Self.’
About Meditation

Opening of the Heart through meditation and healing
People often ask me if I teach a particular type of meditation and the short answer to that is no. If you want to learn TM, or Vipassana Meditation, Yogic or Zen, then there are many practitioners and teachers of the various different styles and traditions now to chose from.
I don't belong to any particular tradition and yet, over the years, I have sat with teachers from many different spiritual and religious practices. Christian; Pagan; Buddhist; Hindu, Shamanistic, Gnostic - endeavouring to learn and embrace all of the spiritual knowledge that made sense to my own personal experience and journey from each one. I first learnt to meditate with a gentle Buddhist teacher many years ago, but my own teachings have come from my heart and my own intuition and from what works for me. The only way I can describe it, is that I help people come out of their minds, or their egos, and into their hearts. To quiet the mind - just for a moment - and by doing so have access through the veil to the mystical realms that we have come from and to where we will one day return.
To some, meditation is no different to prayer, but I would disagree and suggest that in prayer we are accessing the spiritual realms to ask for something, often to plead for answers, help, advice, connection. In meditation we are making the space to listen for the answers. To listen to the guiding voices of our guides and our Angels. The embracing whispers from our families and friends already in Spirit. The loving wisdom from our God, our Father Sky. And for me, most beloved, from the Goddess, Mother Earth, Sophia herself.
Numerous scientific studies have found that a regular meditation practice produces profound benefits for mental, emotional and physical health, including: decreased blood pressure and hypertension; slower heart rate; lower cholesterol levels; reduced production of stress hormones, more efficient oxygen use into the body; increased production of the anti-ageing hormone DHEA; an improved immune function and more restful sleep. Schools which practice and teach meditation with their students have reported significantly increased performances in concentration and exam results and reduced stress levels amongst students including a reduction in stress related behaviours such as bullying, fighting, illness and absenteeism.

Private Meditation

Some people prefer coming to me privately to learn to still their minds and learn the process of meditation. Please contact me and make an appointment. You might only need one session with me, or you might like to come weekly for a while before you are happy to begin your practice of meditation on your own. I also teach people privately about their Light Bodies - the chakras and the auric field and how to enhance, open and nurture this intrinsic part of our true nature.
